Pixi Glow Tonic: First Impressions and Friends Visiting Dubai!

I mentioned in my post on toners, ( https://amodelintheknow.wordpress.com/2014/08/30/its-all-about-the-toner/ ) how desperate I was to try the PIXI GLOW TONIC! It is an exfoliating toner to use as my first toner, immediately after cleansing. Living in Dubai can mean it is difficult to get my hands on some products, and this is one of them.

Fortunately, I had friends scheduled to visit from the UK in September, and thankfully, they were good enough to come armed with a bottle.

I have been using this twice daily for about a week now, so this is a first impressions post, not a full review. That will come once I have used the toner for long enough to see the full results.

What I will say is, I have really enjoyed using this product! I love the colour, compared to my previous exfoliating toners. The smell is lovely (personal) and the packaging is simple and fuss free. The price is 16 GBP, which is bloomin’ fabulous in my opinion. Comparing this to P50, it is much cheaper, in a less ‘fancy pants’ bottle and doesn’t have the ‘sting’ you expect… but still provides the results!

The Glow Tonic contains no alcohol or oils and is a gentle, astringent toner. It has Witchhazel and Aloe Vera, this helps to tone and firm up the skin, whilst smoothing out the skins appearance and softening the texture. Horse Chestnut helps to stimulate the skin and circulation with Ginseng being a natural supplier of oxygen to skin cells. The Glycolic Acid gently exfoliates all dead skin cells away!

I believe this tonic will suit all skin types!

My skin has looked fresh with a healthy glow since using this product. I started to have a slight stress breakout around my jawline and this helped to ‘nip it in the bud’ almost immediately. I am loving it!!

First impressions are: I am so glad my friends brought me a bottle, its wonderful!

I am used to using the P50 and Clarins exfoliating Toners and this one is as good for sure – I will report back with a full review!

Now then, onto my friends visit. Two of my lovely school friends headed over to the desert from the UK for 5 days. They came during a hectic time, as we were house hunting during their stay, but they made a stressful period much easier!! Here are a few snapshots of their trip:

  1. This toner sounds really nice, I think I may have to try it once I’ve finished with one I’m using now. And I’m glad you had fun with your friends 🙂 xxx
